NEW YORK, July 30 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the United States will impose a 25-percent tariff on imports from India, starting on August 1.

He further stated that India's decision to purchase discounted Russian oil followed the outbreak of the Ukraine conflict, which led traditional energy suppliers to divert their exports towards Europe.
