The re-incubation of the Vector API in JDK 22 reflects an ongoing commitment to optimizing Java's performance capabilities in response to modern hardware advancements.

The Vector API gives Java developers everything they need to tap into CPU-level performance gains for numerically intensive operations.

"Any web browser that supports Java will become a vulnerability vector if Quicktime is installed," NIST reports. "If Java support is disabled in the browser it can no longer be used for an attack.
