However, apps have to get updated to support the feature. Google’s finally rolled out updates for Docs, Slides, and Sheets to do just that. All three apps get bot Split View and Slide Over support.

In addition to split-view, the new Google Docs supports inserting images and page breaks; like Google Sheets and Slides, it also has a number of bugfixes.
