You'll see an iOS 18.7 update, but that's not the one you want to select. Instead, just below that tap on Upgrade to iOS 26 and on the ensuing screen tap Update Now. You can also tap Update Tonight, and the software will install later this evening.

Apple users facing bugs or slow speed on iOS 26 can switch back to iOS 18.6.2 for better performance. The downgrade process is possible but requires backups, downloading the correct IPSW file, and restoring through Finder or iTunes.

Now that those issues have been dealt with and iOS 26 is ready for primetime, updating your iPhone and iPad couldn’t be easier. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update to download and install the new version. If you’ve been testing the betas, make sure to turn beta testing off to ensure you get the final, public version for your device.
