Microsoft announced Visual Studio 2019 v16.10 Preview 2, focusing on "developer productivity and convenience" with new features for .NET, Containers, C++, Accessibility and more.

Microsoft released Visual Studio 2019 version 16.5, with new features for .NET, C++, debugging and many more areas.

This feature initially started as an extension in the Visual Studio Marketplace. The Container Tools window allow developers to list, inspect, stop, start, and remove Docker images and containers.

Microsoft has released .NET Core 3.0 for Windows, macOS, and Linux with a host of improvements, as well as Visual Studio 2019 16.3 and Visual Studio for Mac 8.3.

Microsoft is open sourcing WPF, Windows Forms and Win UI via GitHub and making available the first public preview of Visual Studio 2019.

Microsoft said its compiler and standard library are feature-complete for C++ 20 in Visual Studio 2019 16.10, while a 16.11 preview centers on Hot Reload and .NET MAUI.
