AAA has announced that it has integrated its roadside assistance calls with the Waze GPS system and Google Maps to help prevent roadside crashes and deaths.

The system works by alerting drivers who use Waze or Google Maps when they approach an AAA member and AAA technician on the roadside, allowing motorists to slow down or move over.

When a AAA member has car trouble and seeks roadside assistance, drivers using Waze and Google Maps navigation will now get alerts in Michigan.

To combat the problem, AAA has integrated roadside assistance calls with GPSes. Now, drivers who use Waze or Google Maps apps will get an alert as they approach a stalled car.
