Microsoft is making available the latest versions of Visual Studio, its integrated development environment, for Windows and Mac users.

Microsoft also will integrate the Visual Studio Live Share collaboration feature into both Visual Studio 2019 and Visual Studio Code, the open-source version of the commercial product.
Microsoft has released Visual Studio 2019 16.4, the newest version of its full integrated developer environment (IDE) that was launched in April.
Developers also can create these online environments right from Visual Studio Code, the company’s increasingly popular free code editor for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Though details are light for now, Microsoft today took the wraps off of Visual Studio 2019, the next major release planned for the developer suite.
