Britain’s Prince Harry has arrived in Ukraine for a surprise visit in support of wounded service members. This is the second time Harry has visited Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full scale invasion in 2022.

The prince arrived in Kyiv on his second trip to the country this year. The visit comes after his charity supporting wounded soldiers said it would expand post-conflict rehabilitation.

Ukraine said Saturday that it aimed to one day host the Invictus Games, after the sporting event's founder, Prince Harry, made a surprise visit to Kyiv. We have the means to do this," Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said Saturday following a meeting with Prince Harry in Kyiv the day before.

Prince Harry reunited with his father, King Charles, during a busy week of charity appearances in the U.K. Although Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet stayed home in California for the trip,

Prince Harry comforted the mother of a fallen Ukrainian soldier who had previously taken part in his Invictus Games competition when he visited the country . The Duke of Sussex, 41, was welcomed by veterans and armed forces members in the war-hit country when he made an unannounced tour of the capital Kyiv on Sept. 12.

It’s the second time that Harry has visited the country, which is among the nations bidding to host the Invictus Games in four years’ time.

The prince said he wants to do "everything we can" to help the recovery of people injured in Ukraine's war against Russia.
