The app, which features tons of games, created by programmers but also by users themselves, was originally called DynaBlocks, though the name changed to Roblox in 2005.

Roblox (DynaBlocks at the time) was created in 2004 by David Baszucki and Erik S.Cassel. Currently, the former is the CEO of Roblox Corporation, the company that created the platform.
