NodeSource today announced the open sourcing and release of its N|Solid Runtime for Node.js.

The Node.js project recently released Node.js version 12, adding improvements through its underlying V8 JavaScript engine, startup performance, ES6 modules, and more.

The Node.js Permission Model allows developers to restrict access to the file system, child processes, and worker threads during execution.
