The app developed by a leading advertising agency uses the Morse code and smartphone vibrations to let the deaf-blind send messages to each other.
Since the "Morse Code Telegraph Keyboard" plugs directly into your iPhone's keyboard, you can send dots and dashes from right within iMessage — or, for the daring, your favorite email app.
Google created this feature in partnership with assistive technology developer Tania Finlayson, who was born with cerebral palsy and has been using Morse code to communicate since she was a child.
Google added Morse code as an input method to its Gboard keyboard. The company already offers Morse code in the Android version of Gboard (in beta). Now, it's debuting in the iOS version.
