Dramatic video has emerged of a fiery engine blaze earlier this week that forced a passenger plane to make an emergency landing.

Passengers on a flight from Mexico to Los Angeles were frightened to see their plane's engine spark up and catch fire only minutes after takeoff.

Fire erupted in one engine of a Delta Air Lines plane just after takeoff late last week at Los Angeles International Airport, but after a quick turnaround, the jet landed safely.

As it was accelerating for takeoff, Spirit Airlines said a bird flew into the plane's engine. The pilot was able to stop the plane safely despite the engine catching fire.

A video shows fire engines on the taxiway at Manchester Airport, where two easyJet planes collided, with a man picking up a piece of a plane from the grass.
