Gaurav Munjal, Founder of edtech startup Unacademy, recently took to Twitter to announce the acquisition of online programming platform Codechef.

Bengaluru-based edtech startup Unacademy has acquired Mumbai-based competitive programming platform CodeChef.

Unacademy will hold a 30% stake in the new independent entitiy, coding platform CodeChef, as an investor, the edtech unicorn said.

Bengaluru-based Unacademy has distinguished itself in test preparation classes from civil service and banking exams to programming languages.
