Capital Q and Z are weird as hell, traditionally, but you may choose to write them your own way. (Again, nobody is grading you, you are your own person).

Consequently, cursive writing instruction waned. But within the past decade, statewide cursive requirements have been trending upward. In 2016, 14 states required schools to teach cursive writing.

I hope that the time once devoted to teaching cursive can now be diverted to teaching students about the content of their writing rather than its physical form.

There’s also a section for writing cursive numbers though I don’t remember being taught that in elementary school (maybe I missed that day) but cursive numbers look like regular numbers to me.
