Array-MAPH can be used for detection of small-scale copy-number changes in complex genomes, leading to genotype–phenotype correlations and the discovery of new genes.

In conclusion, array CGH detected copy number changes in 11% of 520 MDS patients with cytogenetically normal karyotype as investigated by the gold standard chromosome banding analysis.
