Not so fast — this 3D-printed ornament has a 3D-printer inside that prints other ornaments. One day it might just be the must-have in functional Christmas decor.

The concept behind the build is as you’d expect. The duo effectively just 3D printed giant versions of LEGO pieces, with which they then assembled a large Christmas tree.

The tree can be fitted with multiple flexible solar panel “leaves,” also 3D-printed in a process VTT developed. The more panels you attach, the more energy the tree can harvest.
